Our Mission

The mission of the Adult Faith Formation Ministry at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, is to provide our adult community with an opportunity to enrich their faith by practicing and living out the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Our Adult Faith Formation ministry is committed to meet the lifelong educational needs of the parish by promoting active participation in spiritual, educational, social and service opportunities and programs.

Our ministry serves to empower each parishioner with a better understanding of Gospel values, thus, allowing them to share their faith experiences with others.

  • Training of parish ministries: Eucharistic, Lector, Ushers, Alter Servers, etc.

  • Parent Sessions / Sacramental Preparation

  • Adult Professional Development
  • Lectures, Seminars and Workshops on Specific Religious Topics

Goals and Objectives:

To invite all adult parishioners in our parish to share in our ministry in order to experience a deeper and thorough understanding of their Catholic faith through prayer, meditation, reflection and study;

To build our parish community by connecting our parishioners together socially and spiritually by offering programs and services that will empower, enlighten and enrich their faith experiences so that they can be shared with others;

To enable parents to recognize and celebrate their role as primary educators in faith for their children;

To promote the values of the Gospel to our families and community members so that we can continue on with our journey of faith together with Jesus Christ;

To provide non-Catholic and non-practicing Catholic adults experiences and catechesis to connect with the Roman Catholic Faith;

To continue to work together with our Pastor, religious and laity members to ensure that the proper educational and spiritual needs of the parish are provided.
